Data collection

In principle we try and collect as little data as possible. Our main contacts are through the email subscription lists.

Email lists.

All our email subscribers have chosen to subscribe by personal intent. We do not send unsolicited emails and do not share or distribute our email subscriber contacts. If you receive emails then it’s because you asked to receive them and have confirmed that you wish to do so via email. You can change your email preferences by clicking on the Subscription Options button at the end of the email sent out from the site.

To set up and process subscriptions, we use the subscriber’s email address, as well as the ID of the post or comment (depending on the specific subscription being processed).In the event of a new subscription being initiated, we also collect some basic server data, including all of the subscribing user’s HTTP request headers, the IP address from which the subscribing user is viewing the page, and the URI which was given in order to access the page. This server data used for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam.

Google analytics

We use Google analytics  to monitor usage and GDPR compliance.
